I bought this product knowing (through the other reviews) not to expect much from the birdies/shuttle cocks, and the net. The net didn't stand on its own and I basically used it once and had to throw it away. The plastic birdies were so light and cheap that I bought feathered birdies that have worked well with the racquets.I figured since a single Dunlop racquet would go well over 18.00 at my local sports store, that I'd buy this set of four at about less than double the price. The racquets are great quality- very light and sturdy. This is a great value and all you need to get started. The net and shuttles aren't great but do the job. The net on its own is weak but with the support wires gets the job done. The racquets are surprisingly good. Good set for a quick enjoyable game. I bought mine from Walmart. Just don't expect an amazing set for $32. You get what you pay for - and it is worth it for the price. If you want a more durable set, better shuttles, better net etc., then you might need to pay a little more. The four Dunlop racquets are of great quality. They have a decent weight (light), and they are great for recreational play or tournament play. I used them in my high school tournament, and I managed to stay on top of my senior class while using one of the racquets. The main reason I had bought this set was for the racquets, since regular singles racquets are pretty pricy. Although this is a great set, you may want to buy a few higher quality shuttlecocks if you want to have more of a competitive game with this set. Other than that, you should be fine for recreational play. I would recommend this set to all who love badminton as much as I do, or maybe those who just like to have fun. |
