 These work well with rocks, but not sand., By This review is from: Adidas Climacool Boat Lace Shoe (Misc.) I got these shoes to wear while launching my boat off the beach. They are non-marking and drain quickly but the drain holes are located on the bottom so they fill quickly with soft sand. I think if the holes were located near the bottom on the sides they would have been perfect. These are probably best for rivers or streams with a rock bed, but not for the beach.
